Our 2021 Cohort:
Due to COVID-19, Àkójọpọ̀ launched a Virtual Mentorship program local educators from predominantly the University of Michigan are able to connect with aspiring music students in Lagos, Nigeria. It is an 8-week program where we are currently able to provide instruction free of charge for 8 students in Lagos, Nigeria. Additionally, we have guest from both from Lagos and the US who will be hosting various talks for our instructors and group instrumental classes for our participants! We want to thank optiMize and EXCEL Lab at the University of Michigan School of Music for making this all possible!
