Babatunde Oluwatobi
Tobi is an indigene of both Lagos state and Ogun state. He was born in Lagos state. His passion for music since he heard the great sound of the trumpet played by a random trumpeter at Christ Apostolic Church, where he got his first lesson in music theory and trumpet playing by his teacher (Ogundipe Oluwamayowa). He proceeded to take his first theory exam in 2015 (MUSON) and later on in 2017 he had Distinction in both ABRSM Grade 7 practical and Grade 5 theory. Tobi has interest in Classical music, African music, Jazz and contemporary music. He has performed with the Divine Symphony Orchestra, Mountain Top Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Shephard Brass Ensemble, Nigeria Youth Orchestra, and The Nigerian Boy’s Brigade. He looks forward to becoming a great trumpet soloist and an orchestra member and also to use music as a driving force to make a positive change in the society.
